FIRST DAY OFF IN A LONG TIME is written and performed by Brian Finkelstein and directed by Adam Swartz. It’s a dark-comedy show that tells the true story of the four years that Finkelstein—a pessimistic dude with suicidal tendencies—volunteered at a suicide hotline.
The show has had long runs at the UCB Theatres in NY and LA, was selected for the HBO/US Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, and was the hit of the 2014 Perth (Australia) and Wellington (New Zealand) Fringe festivals. A shorter version of the story has been broadcast on the Moth Radio Hour and was published in the Moth’s first ever book, ‘The Moth: 50 True Stories.’
Now is your chance to see it where it started, at the UCBT Chelsea in NYC!
